I'm going to upgrade as soon as the intel price cut comes on the 22nd to the following:

Intel Q6600
P35C-DS3R

And im still tossing up between RAM. Im going to get 4GB (for 3D, CAD etc.) and looking at the following;

OCZ System Elite DDR2 800Mhz -
G.Skill F2-6400PHU2 800Mhz - Mwave Australia: Easy Shopping Easy Life

The OCZ seems to run on tight timings, according to reviews, but doesnt over clock too well. I know everyone recomends G.Skill, but these are the best ones in my price range i can find (i live in Australia and G.Skill seem pricey here).

Has anyone had any experience with these G.Skill ones? I havent found many reviews, but im guessing they will overclock better (if i want too).

Thanks.

The HZs are only about $30 more, and it's worth it. But the NRs should be good.

with 4gig and that cpu why would you need to overclock I would go for tighter timings to ensure your processor is getting the best out of it.

ya.... well that too.. what is CAD?

Computer Aided Design...

It helps professions such as architects, engineers, or graphics artist design products and goods. Such as engine designs, buildings, manufacturing equipment, and also 3D objects for those graphic designers.
