yes but they went down in price 6 months after wards the e6300 when first released was about 304 the e6400 was close to 400 and the e6600 was about 600$ so they were relitively expensive at release and amd made the price cut about 2 weeks after the release of the c2d and they were a lot cheaper buy that point and people were still buying the c2d even tho they were crazy expensive the c2d wasnt as cheap as it is now and the same will go for the new amd k10 chip if it is faster intel is making price cuts and people will still buy the k10 chips as they will be the faster ones just as people did with the c2d

Not true, not at all

When E6300 came out on July 27 it was $183, E6400 was $224, E6600 was $316, E6700 was $530 and X6800 was $999

people were still buying the c2d even tho they were crazy expensive

When C2D first came out, E6600 which was priced $316 only at that time was able to destroy the more expensive AMD FX62 which was the best AMD processor at that time.

I wouldn't say that C2D were "crazy expensive"
