Hello, all of sudden my Flashdrive doesn't work. I didn't touch it or change anything as far as I know. The computer does recognize it but when I want to transfer something on to it, it wants to format it? I've never had to do this before. Nevertheless, I click format, but then it says its unable to format. Is it dead? It's a RiData 2gb. Its been working great up until today. I spent around 40$ on it too, any suggestions? Thank

Well that worked the first try, but I still couldn't save anything on to it. So I tried the second time and it says failed to format. Now I'm back where I started.

the drive might be broken, corrupted or dying flash drive

Happens once in a while with the off brand flash drives/cards. I'm thinking it's dead too. You should be able to RMA it through Ridata or if you bought it from Newegg they'll exchange it if it's within one year.
