I heard that the Core 2 Quad Q6600 is going to be dropping down to $266. Is this confirmed? When would this happen? Is it worth it?

I like the motherboard, but I don't know if there is anything better out there for the same or lower price.

Don't know much about what power supplies are good. Recommend some good ones. Keep in mind, the case I am using is a full tower so I need long cables.

Should I get an aftermarket cooler on my video card?

This has been recommended as a very nice board for less money.

I am no expert but those are the main ones I see being mentioned alot.

Agreed with Bot2011.

The Q6600 is going to drop in price, on July 22. It is worth it, for a quad core at that price.

The stock cooler on the 8800GTS is fine. You should only get an aftermarket cooler for your graphic card, if for some reason, your temperatures a higher than normal. Or if you are doing heavy overclocking.

How big of a difference are we talking between e6600 and q6600? I'm talking real world. I don't plan to do a ton. But it would be nice to render a video and play a game at the same time.

Well a Q6600 is basically two e6600s put together, on one die. It may not be a big difference in gaming, but it's a big difference in multi-tasking, encoding, editing, etc...
