Yeah it's really a gamble now though as the newer e6600's aren't clocking so well....but still I'd rather get an e6600 as the majority hit 3.4ghz+ and it's more rare for a e6320/e6420 to do 3.4+

As for the PSU....the Toughpower series are excellent...very powerful, stable, and reliable...the PC power and cooling is indeed of higher quality and more stable...but has considerably less power than the Toughpower...don't get me wrong...more stability and quality in a PSU is ALWAYS a good thing...but for the average user there's a point of diminishing return and the PC Power & Cooling 610 is a bit beyond that.

Good thing I am no Average user.

Lol
:p

yeah they are awesome power supplies....I would have chosen PC P&P except I wanted something a with a bit more power for the future and all the powerful PC P&P supplies were sooo much money.

Also they are now owned by OCZ...I wonder what that is going to mean for us consumers? Lower prices, same quality? Lower prices, lower quality? I wonder....

Only time will tell.

Only reason I went with them this time around is because I wanted to stop being so cheap.
As was the mistake I made with my first build (X connect, value ram, no after market HS, list goes on and on)

Okay b1gapl, I looked at the ASUS mobo and it looks great. I believe that may be the only thing I change on my list. I am still looking at the GTX and if I feel that it will serve me right I'm going for it.

Updated list of casualties:

I changed the mobo do an abit. I decided on keeping th PSU because I didn't find anything that sparked my fancy that still had modular cabling. I don't plan on SLi-ing with this rig anymore, hence the abit, but a new processor will fit nicely in a couple of years, hence the abit again.

Now I just need a desk to put it all on... And a chair to sit in infront of it.

Flame me!

These reasons are concrete but; eSATA, board layout, RAM support(questionable). None of those are very important really. I know I looked at that board a few times but I'm not sure why I passed it up. Perhaps I just forgot it was an option. Good lookin' out!
