I may have a little extra cash to spend and I was just wondering, is it better to have 4 gigs of stock ram or 2 gigs of overclocked ram? Would an additional 2 gigs of g.skill ddr800 pc6400 ram even help me much? ( plan to just use the computer for gaming and applications like AutoCAD and SolidWorks, which really isn't too demanding ).

I would think programs such as CAD are demanding for memory. But how is it working out now, with 2gb of ram? If it doesn't satisfy you with the programs you're using, and you have the money, go for it.

the 2gigs will give u faster ram but not as much bandwidth since no matter how fast the ram is eg 1066mhz it will never compromise for the extra 2gb of bandwicth u could get from more memory.

lol...I remember when that same 2gb kit, was higher than $218. But yea....go for it, if you have the money and doing CAD.
