8800gts 640 GPU cooler

I can't seem to find any GPU coolers compatible with the gts.

I know Newegg.com - Thermalright HR-03 Plus VGA Cooler - Retail is compatible with the gtx, and requires something extra??? for the gts'.

Any help with links would be awesome.

I think you still need ram sinks for the memory if you do get that cooler. Both for the gtx and the gts

I've got a thermaltake air cooler on my radeon card and its absolutely fantastic. Took it down from around 80C to less than 50C and completely solved all my random crashes and stablility issues.

Its really big tho and takes up the almost the entire PCI slot below.

i say apply that Artic Silver 5 thermal grease on ur 8800 GTS GPU, n ur good to go with OCing it. That is what im planning on doing for when i get the money n buy an HD 2900 XTX later this year.

wait, so are you saying, take OFF the stock cooler, put on only thermal paste, and then put the stock cooler back on? ....sorry, im a bit confused...
