That's an insane heatsink. Must be really expensive, and freakin' heavy too. I'd just be happy with the Ultra-120 extreme.

Both really.

It's only $15 or so more expensive than the Ultra 120 Xtreme, so I'm considering buying.

No tempreture tests seem to exist for it yet.

I assume that it fixes onto the main heatsink itself... I'm not really sure though, there isn't any additional information I can find than what's already on Thermalright.com.

The back part is for additional cooling, for the heat coming from the back of the motherboard.

Finally found a review, though I'd really like to see the IFX-14's performance in comparison to the Ultra-120 eXtreme.

It should be better, because it's a much bigger heatsink. Alot more surface for the heat to spread out.
