first of all.. i don't believe that there is such difference on the
wattage of the sound card between the front and the back panel.
new sound cards have volume controls for each jack.
e.g: you will have volume for rear pink(mic) , front pink (mic).
rear green (out) , front green (out).
propably you will have different volumes settings. also for the mic
check the boost option. every sound card this in mic properties.
