Stripping my friend's old computer.

I'm supposed to set it as slave.

And with that, it should work fine?

That means, there's no adjustments needed to be made on the main drive?

Nice.

Correct =). That's what I did w/ my PC. I had a pre-existing drive...and later on bought a second one. I just set the jumper to (I think) cable select (either that or Slave), and powered the PC back on after plugging in all the cables =).

Nice.

Now all I have to do try to put it in my weird vaio case.

What else should I take from my friend's computer?

PSU, if it's higher than mine, right?

There must be other things included.

Is it possible to get a third cd drive?

I think he has two...

You'd have to make sure his PSU has the same number of pins on the connectoras your, otherwise it won't work. You'd also have to make sure it'd fit inside your case xD.

And..I don't think you'd be able to put another disc drive in...Unless you have spare IDE cable/connector on your motherboard xD.

Yeah, I know how to work the PSU's.

Is there any pci card that allows cd drive expansions? I know they have that for hard drives...I'm going to look around.

Oh, since I'm leaving my friend with only a case and a worthless mobo/ processor, what should I carry these parts in?

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm just going to purchase a bunch of antistatic bags.
