Can someone recommend me good stable power supply? At least 500w. I need a new psu because i am running my computer on a 350w psu with 15amps on one 12v rail. I don't know how its happening but it is. I am worried that my powersupply may bring down the rest of my system if it dies....
The power supply will be powering: 8800gts 640mb, C2D E6300 @3.2ghz, 2 hdd's, 1 optical drive, 4 case fans, 2 cold cathodes.

I was thinking about the pc power and cooling silencer 610, its pricey but its worth it right?

ya or if u wanna go crazy go with a PC Power and Cooling (now owned by OCZ, but that comes at a high pricetag)

I was thinking of the 610w one for $150. It has 49amps on one 12v rail.

That is no doubt one of the most stable power supplies....but I don't think it's necessary and I would rather have something like the Corsair 520w ....it's incredibly stable as well and very powerful. (also 30 dollars cheaper on the egg)

Argh...so many choices....
These are the ones that I am considering.

1. Pc power and cooling silencer 610w (many people tell me to get this one if i have the money)
Newegg.com - PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610 EPS12V EPS12V 610W Continuous @ 40°C Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, cUL, CE, CB, TUV - Retail

2.Antec truepower trio 550w + antec 900 case (I was planning to get a case instead of a psu but i reconsidered and i need a psu more than a new case. but if i get a cheaper psu i can still get the case that i want, but i dont think that the antec will be good in the long run.....)

3. Corsair 520w
Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-520HX ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 520W Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, CUL, CE, CB, FCC Class B, TUV, CCC, C-tick - Retail

4. Fortron Source 700w psu for $129. (this would be around the same price as the corsair one)
Newegg.com - FSP Group (Fortron Source) FX700-GLN ATX12V, V2.2/EPS12V, V2.91, 700W RoHS Quad. SLi Power Supply 100 - 240 V CSA, IEC, UL, CE, TUV - Retail

Does anyone think there is a psu that is better out there that i should also consider?
