Pentium M

My work shipped me out of town for six months. At the office I'm currently stationed at, they gave me a laptop with a Pentium M processor.

I was just wondering if anybody else has used these, and what they thought of them. Ever since I got on this thing, it's been slow, but our network sucks, and we run a lot of programs off of the network, so it could be that, too.

Pentium M> P4M, PM is 1337.

He is right a low clocked P-M at say 1.5ghz can beat a 2.66ghz P4 and last longer aswell

Mobiles are nice, but you'll definatelly notice I've you've moved to one froma desktop that's the same speed or faster.

I'm guessing the slowness is mostly your network saying FU! to running that many programs on your computer and all the ppl around you.

All right. Must be the network, then, because I went from a P3 desktop to a 1.7 GHz PM processor. Makes sense, because it's mostly the email that I use, and I have to connect back to Portland to get that.

The Pentium M is great. Good performance and consumes much less power compared to the P4..
