I got a new printer (Lexmark E250d) which doesnt come with a USB cable so I was temporarily using a short one that I used for my external HDD which was working fine. Today I went and got a longer USB cable and when I plugged it into my printer I get a popup saying "USB Device Not Recognized" so i rebooted the comp and the printer is not communicating at all with the comp through the new USB cable I got. I tried changing ports and the same problem keeps occuring. How can I get it working?

Tried Reinstalling the Printer drivers still same problem, even changed cords back again and then it started working but with the new USB cable it keeps saying it cannot be recognized. Are there different types of USB cables sold?

You know what i'll just get a new shorter cable today and see if it makes a difference.

PROBLEM SOLVED - cable was either too long or faulty. Got a new one works fine now.
