I've got this system I'm working on for a friend and it's giving me random problems that I can't put together to make sense. I ran a diagnosis using Hot CPU Tester Pro 4.0.0.578 and the only thing that comes up with an error is the L2 cache. Here is the diagnosis report.

3DNow!:

Also I installed speedfan to monitor the power supplies and it shows my -5 and -12V are at 0, but I checked them with a multimeter and they're fine... But another thing, I installed speedfan on it the other day and today I turn the computer on and it's like I never installed them. I was able to reinstall speedfan but when I try to install other programs I'm getting this error:

Error extracting support files:
The server threw and exception.

Also when I tried to install Adobe Acrobat it gave an error saying it was unable to create a temp file. Is this a bad motherboard or memory problem? Here are some stats from a scan I did if it helps anyone.

If anyone can help me out I'll mail you a million billion dollars!!!

the L2 cache is part of the cpu itself. if it's new and still under warranty, send it back. If not, get a new cpu. the cpu going bad will cause very erratic problems, seemingly unrelated.

Yeah if its a new cpu then get a new one because it might be faulty. I pm'd you my address for my million billion dollars. ;)

Ok thanks guys. Unfortunately the cpu is over a year old and past it's warranty, but it's only a $60 pentium. A million billion dollars for everyone!!!
