This rig is years old now but it still serves me great... the only thing letting me down is the video card, whats the best this setup could handle? It would be for gaming.

Appreciate any thoughts. :)

Nothing imparticular, i dont care about having max resolution and visuals, i just want to be able to play the games. Its only recently that the games are unplayable and i know its my vid card is the problem.

Mostly RTS and FPS id be playing,
No probs with dark messiah of M&M, prey or HL2, last hitman was ok.
But two worlds and Supreme Commander had awful fps.

I jsut want to know what vid card can it take, i'll worry about what to paly after.

Cost to performance ratio I would say get the 7900gs will run any game out now, most at medium to high settings.

Great, thank you.
There are a few different brands on newegg atm, all pretty much the same or would one be better?
Also would the card need a bigger power supply or more cooling... anything like tht?

Thx for your help
