well my pc is up and running, works like a charm without any problems...just took me awhile to make RAID 0 work, and my wiring is a bit of a mess, but thanks to everyone that contributed

however im not sure why, but my lite-on dvd drive says "DVD-RAM"

when i use cpuz to look at my specs..my multiplier isn't stable..it goes from 6 to 9, which is 1.6 and 2.4 GHz respectively, anyone know whats wrong?

Thats a power saving function that, if you want to, must be turned off in your BIOS. It will drop the multiplier when using low-profile apps. It will kick in again when you game or do anything more intensive.

thx for the fast reply, i think ill leave it on since my comp is idle for quite a bit at times..

i was thinking of buying a SATA optical drive, can i use a Hard drive SATA cable and plug it in the sata connections as a hard drive too? or do i need a IDE to SATA cable?

No, I think the SATA cables for hard drives and optical drives are the same.

Anyone know how i can set my Starcraft to run with black bars on the sides? i cant find the option for it anywhere in the NVidia control Panel, 8800GTS 640 and a Samsung 906BW
