The Tech Report - Sub-$50 GeForce 8 coming in three weeks

The only difference between 8400GS and 8500GT is that 8400GS has 64-bit interface, instead of 128-bit. All the other spec is exactly the same.

The card will hit stores on June 19, and it will be priced at $45 only. In my opinion this would be the best performance/price for people who are not heavy-gamers

Thats for standard vista surfing and video watching. That thing is probably about as powerful as a 7300LE.

8400GS will replace 7300GS, but there is no doubt that it will destroy 7300GS in terms of performance.

Yes this video card can play oblivion, but only in low/medium settings

i might pick up one of them to hold me out untill the 8900gtx's come out - if they ever do...

The 6600GT is a better card to hold you over..they can be hard for around that price and it should beat this card quite easily.

wow that card is gonna be lame but then again.. still an improvement over this card... but so far all the lower-end dx 10 cards have just... stunk.. 8600 was a let down.....
