Why get 2x2GB? 4x1GB will be cheaper and faster just becuase 1GB sticks have much better timings than 2GB.

Get 2 Seagate 7200.10 HD's and RAID0 them for better performance.

The E6700 is a waste of money but you look like you have cash so go for it.

I don't like the X-fi Fatal1ty cards just because you are paying for the name.

will G-skill perform almost like Mushkin too ?

i read alot of good things abt E6700 hence its in the list..

but i will highly consider ur suggestion.

Why would you want to spend about $200 more, when the E6600 can easily go past that for free, through overclocking?

And yes G. Skill is the way to go for ram. That G. Skill ram, can easily overclock to 1066 speeds, and higher.

b1gapl i dont want to overclock anything, so in this case if u still feel that E6600 would do it, i'll add to the list.

Gskill it is then.

Even if you don't overclock, the e6700 is not noticeably faster than the e6600. It's just 200MHz. Save yourself the $200, and get the e6600. Then use the extra $200 towards, something else.

Overclocking is completley safe and how do you feel when a chip that is 110 bucks (E4300) can overclock to past the speeds of an X6800?

Overclocking is easy safe, and smart.

However if you don't want to overclock then I guess it's fine.

EDIT: 266mhz B1gapl :p

lol.....I stand corrected.

Agreed with Sora. Overclocking is nothing to be afraid about. That's why we're here.
