PSU Requirements

How many w does a 8800gtx take to run efficiently? I know it says on the box but If anyone has had experience with it, it would be better. I have two Ultra X-finity's just sitting around(one 500w, and one 600w). I was wondering if either one would work or only the 600w would be good enough for it.

i think a gtx takes near 400watts in games

Both will work actually...the 500w is about what is good for one while the 600w will give plenty of room to spare.

Heh I have an X-Finity 600w coming in the mail...one of the good ones with UV cables .

Are you sure they aren't UV reactive as well? I know you need something like Cold Cathodes to make them glow. This one has silver flexforce cables in regular light but glow blue with something like cathodes.

nope, they don't mention it on the site, only uv reactant psu cable I know of are the X-C series
