I have a Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra-939, It is set up using the onboard RAID. Is there a way to disabled the RAID function?

Yes, but I am taking one out and will just using one drive.

Well...since it's a RAID 0 array the data is striped across both drives.

The easiest way to do this is to get a 3rd drive and copy everything over to the third drive...then disable raid and move the files back to one drive...

Pretty much the only option actually....or just back your important stuff up on a DVD/CD and disable raid and reformat

Well I do not need any thing off the drives. This was a computer from one of my clients.. Her daughters to be more exact. Well this thing was trashed.. I am trying to salvage what I can, they don't care about the data. I am just wondering how I would go about disabling the RAID. Would it be in the bios? The Raid BIOS? I'm just not very good with raid. XD - TIA
