hey i was making comp for a friend to see how cheap it could get. its a gaming pc but needs to be as cheap as possible and must have 8800 series g card. keep in mind this is aus dollars we pay another 10% tax after money converted. :(

thats everything there. ram isnt too good but thats all he can afford. please recommened anything else. oh aswell sum parts like TT psu was all they have on avialible sites.
 
I don't know much about the mobo but Abit make good mobos so it's probably nice. Everything there looks like a solid build though, especially for an Ausie heh.
 
Since its an Ausie build and your selection is different I don't see anything wrong with the parts you have chosen hah.

If that were in in USD you could get for the money an MSI P6N mobo, an Antec True Power Trio 550w, G.skill DDR2-800, and a Centurion 5. However Like I said if not those parts are just fine.
 
those are the exact parts i would get but all are more expensive. and i basically got the cheapest for price: perf i could get. but i would prob get ddr800 ram ,still seems like a cheap build for aus dollars thats would be like under 1000 usd and some
 
G.skill DDR2-677 I will bet you can hit DDR2-800 at least as G.skill ram is made to overclock. Like I said it is a pretty cheap build and an 8800 series card in a 1000 build sounds good to me.
