Does anyone know if this ReadyBoost technology actually works well? Supposedly it augments the amount of ram you have and increases the performance of the computer, but I'm a little skeptical. I'm looking into buying a notebook and it will have 2 gigs of RAM after I add a stick (Asus F3JP), so I'm wondering if it's worth my ~$40 to buy a 4gb stick of flash memory to keep in the card reader and use for ReadyBoost.

IF you have more than 1GB of RAM this ReadyBoost is pretty much worthless. So if you are getting a notebook with 2GB you will be more than jsut fine. Plus Vista 32Bit cant handle anything over 4GB of RAM.
