Yeah they all pretty much work.. You might get the odd older game that has problems but you'll be able to find fixes for them anyway.

Home Premium is probably the one to get. Basic doesn't come with some of the core features of Vista and Ultimate just adds the Business features (which I doubt you would need for a home pc) and a couple little gimmicks.

yeah the only reason vista bad on new comp is coz we got bad 3dmark scrore. but other than that not much difference. ppl are really piking sides and not having personal expierence with vista and just sayin its no good wen havent even gave it a shot
