hi guys, my pc has been running as sweet as a nut for ages, and all of a sudden this morning, it has decided that it doesnt want to play games. whatever game i open, be it UT2003, UT2004, GTA SA, i just get a BSOD when it starts to load.

this is what happens:
open up game> starts to load> i hear my hard drive 'click' (never heard it before)> get a bsod.

this never used to happen, and i havent made any hardware changes, infact, i dont think ive made any software changes.

no i spose the obvious thing to do would be to reinstall, but these are all huge games 5GB+ and take ages to install!! so i want to see if i have any other options!

i dont think my hdd is dying, as it is fine on everything else.

specs:
-xp pro
-250gb seagate barracuda sata
-512mb kingston ram ;-(
-asrock dual 939 board
-amd athlon x2 4800

umm, any ideas guys??

thanks

BSOD can be more or less any hardware. look at next post i did do the same to a post before

yup, my bad lol. i hadnt realised the forum had changed so that a moderator had to checks threads before allowing them. so when i went to check my thread, and couldnt find it, i made it again, but then they both were allowed lol
