This happens all the time.
Sometimes instead of turning off my computer, I put the computer in "Standby" mode for the night. When i return to computer in morning and try to work on it, I can't access the internet. I turn modem on/off. Doesn't work. I shut off browsers and open them up. Still doesn't work. The only way to access the internet is to restart the entire system.
Why does this happen? Why can't I reaccess internet unless I reboot the entire system? Is it a simple setting to change?
I have a Dell desktop with Windows XP and I have Verizon DSL with an Actiontec GT704WG modem/router. I use ethernet cable for the connection.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
