Ati 9700 vs Nvidia FX Go5700

Go with the 5700 good card if you didnt have a notebook but i dont know which is a better one in a notebook.

Where the hell did you hear that? There are so many games optimized for nVidia, not to mention Intel supports them too.
(UT2k4, UT2k3, X-2, Doom 3, etc.)

Oh yeah, what was that game that was heavily optimized for ATI cards?..... HALF LIFE 2.:rolleyes: I don't see that coming out soon, maybe right after Doom 3 in Fall 2004.

It looks like the 5700 beats the 9700. As you notice, the 9600xt is an XT card:) and it beats the hell out of both of them.
If you can choose a 9600xt for your mobile, get that. Or otherwise get the 5700 since it has pretty good performance. Shame on me for underestimating the 5700.:(
 
Actually, I am not sure the Geforce 5700 Ultra that is in the Tom's hardware reviews is the mobility version. I think there are two different 5700's. I really appreciate the information on the Radeon, however. It looks like it does a very good job. Still have to wait and see how it compares to the mobility geforce go5700.
