Just look at the average FPS

So, 2900XT can't even beat its 6 month old rival 8800GTS

Obviously there is driver problems, the x1950xtx beats it substantially in a lot of tests. And shoot, the HD 2900XT DOES beat the 8800gts is a bunch of things.

plus ati screwed themslves over for upgrades as they named it the 2900 instead of 2800 so no nvidia can supas t with the 8900 and the 8950 ati only has diferent variations of 2900 left and a 2950 before they have to start a new series of cards and the ati card only outperformed th gts in a few games which i dont even play so id wrather keep the 100 bucks and pick up a new game with my gts instead of getting the 2900

Why do you think the R600 was delayed so much? They underestimated the G80's power and tried to tweak what they could to make it better and then at least rival the 8800GTS. In the end drivers won't help them touch the GTX or the now released Ultra as well. Drivers can only do so much.....a sad day for ATI but enthusiasts will still buy though.
