Front Side bus is how fast data is being sent into the CPU for processing. Obviously the faster the FSB is, the faster data can be sent into the CPU, and well, I sure hope you can add two and two together..

so do the 1 gig FSB models have 2% better performance? 5%? how much does it improve performance?

I'll check Toms hardware, but I didn't think FSB made a drastic difference....

E6850 is not an extreme edition

The extreme edition X6800 has unlocked multipliers, and it consumes 75 watt

E6850 will consume 65 watt, just like the other core 2 duo's
