AMD demos 8 core Agena FX PC, and New "Stream Processing"

Do we even have a single application that can use that much processor power? If there is, I'd like to see it. (And i don't mean a retarded bench program, i mean a real application)
 
Could, but this looks promising. Reignited competition, better pricing again, better tech for the money, if AMD wins again, we all win! Then i hope Intel wins, and back and forth, its the cycle that keeps great deals alive! And motivates the companies to develop better, more efficient, cheaper technology, all benefit us.
 
AMD romped Intel with 64 bit. it's taken Intel a while to recoup, but they finally have. now it's AMD's turn to make a come back. Geez, I love the cycle.

I'm looking forward to the die shrinks, both for AMD's CPUs and ATI's GPUs.

no single application today can even use dual-cores to the fullest potenial. The hardware is moving fast but the software is advancing slowly.
