How would i go about getting rid of a bad driver that's installed on my system?

I've got a bad copy of a twain driver (scanner driver) showing up in my "ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS" list and i've tried deleting it numerous times. It was accidently installed and it's an incorrect version for my OS. I believe its for a 98 and i'm on 2000. It never worked, and after i installed the correct version, the old one still remained.

Do i need to edit the registry? Any freebie program i can use to do this, or should i just delete something manually?

I posted about this previously but the post got lost somewhere lol.

Removing WHAT manually in safe mode?? All files that i'm aware of are gone from my system. Only things that remain are the registry keys. I haven't tampered with those yet.
