Gaim has a new name

Anyone else noticed that Gaim project is now called Pidgin? I don't like the name all that much. I think it was changed because AOL was threatening with a lawsuit. I think it is a great program, not much has changed, except the icons, which i like more than the old ones. and it added the "unblock" feature in the right click menu instead of having to go to "tools" - "privacy" and unblocking that way. i also noticed the startup time is a little quicker.

Ah, good to see that it is out of Beta. I should update it. I think this thread would be more suited for the Linux section, but thanks for letting us know.

And yeah, they changed the name because of AOL. Lame.

yea, it would probably be better in linux section, but theres a windows version too, and thats what i have tried out.

hey, thats cool how you got the "GETFIREFOX" icon on your message, how did you do that? is it just an HTML code in your user CP?

Nah, it's just an image in my signature. I was tired of that little line :happy:
