Hello everyone. Just a quick question. I have a desktop with Win. XP Pro and a Notebook with XP Home. I am trying to connect remotely to the notebook and it won't. But, I can connect from the notebook to the desktop without a problem. I have them both set to the same settings.... Any Ideas?

Thanks
Derek

are you trying to connect with remote desktop or remote assistance. If you are doing it with remote desktop then open control panel and then click on System, after this go to the remote tab and select the second option, allow users to remotely connect to this computer. After this double check your firewall to make sure remote desktop is enabled. If you are going through a router then you will neeed to enable your router to enable port number 3389, which is the port for remote desktop. Then you will be able to remote control anywhere, as long as you use your homes ip address, not you laptops.
