If the 8600gts is faster than the 1900gt, what does it compare to then..I'm guessing somewhere around where the 7900gt is? I've looked for reviews but what I found was inaccurate, in some reviews the 8600 beats the 1900, vice versa

you should think about going with the X1950XT instead of the 8600gts since they're priced the similar.

AnandTech has a review comparing the 8600gt/gts cards to a handful of other cards, one being the X1900XT (X1950XT being the higher-end version), which outperforms both the 8600's.

The X1950XT DESTROYS the 8600GTS lol....thats an excellent price and i recommend anyone who wants a fast machine without DX10 yet pick one up at those prices.
