BIOS problem maybe?

I have bought a new computer.

Works fine, though my RAM picks up as 3200MB and my Hard Drive picks up as 128GB.

When you enter setup, it comes up 320GB Hard Drive, and 4x 1GB sticks(all the same)

I am not to sure how to update BIOS so I don't really want to if I don't have to.
Please help.

wow, doesnt look like you need to upgrade your bios! weird...
how fast is your ram? as in Mhz?

well xp has a 3.2 gb barrier on ram or something like that, and you have to have at least sp2 to use a 128GB+ hdd. so if you have sp1, then upgrade to sp2.

Its meant to be 667 or 677 or something like that.

I am running service pack 2, but never actually installed SP 1 does that make any difference?

I think the BIOS is the date when I bought the computer and installed windows.
