I just received my hard disks. 2x 80GB, 3x 320GB.

Currently my Windows is installed on a single disk.

Can I set up the 80GB disks in RAID0, and then copy an image of my XP partition on the RAID0 array?

I got it working already.

Step by step:

1. Installed both SATA disks and enabled RAID0 in BIOS.
2. Booted Windows from my old disk.
3. Installed SATA/RAID drivers. Windows now detects the RAID0 volume.
4. Copied Windows partition to RAID volume using V2i Protector.

Done.

It is much faster loading Windows. Much faster loading MediaStudio Pro. I love it :D

I'm currently configure the other disks. Gonna take hours. Have to copy tons of data.

I forgot to order an additional SATA cable. I have 5 SATA disks, but only 4 SATA cables, lol. I will order an extra one later. I can live without an extra backup disk for a couple of weeks :p

2x 320GB will be RAID1
The other 320 will be mirrored with my old 300GB IDE disk.

The 20GB of the third 320 disk will be a temporary partition for extracting files and other temp files.

Yes they did. It says Maxtor on the disk, with a small notice that it is a subsidiary of Seagate or something.

Everything loads very slow now. Don't know why. HD Tach still shows good results. Maybe I should re-install Windows.
