So basically it is:

AMD Athlon XP 2800 + *333 FSB* Barton (2.08 GHz) with AMD Heat Sink Fan.
1GB PC2700 (DDR333) Kingston, what is CAS latency? Is it 2x 512MB on Dual Channel?
128MB Gainward GeForce 4 Ti4800? Overclocking it would give better performance at a low risk, most graphics cards are built with memory chips that are overclockable by quite a lot.

Overall I would give the system 6 out of 10. The CPU is fast enough but obviously not the latest. Trustworthy and fast enough card even for today's latest games.

I could recommend some updates if I knew the motherboard model.

tell ya what, run a benchmark with 3dmark01se and post a screenshot of those results. thats your true rating. you can have what looks like a good setup but if that benchmark is poopy then.....

it's a basic computer... will get u true almost anything, but defenitly NOT a beast!

Well no i didnt buy this card it came with my old set up which was my chaintech 4x agp mobo and only 512 stick of ram
My new mobo is a NIVIDIA nForce2 K7 TRiton GIGABYTE BOARD DUAL CHANNEL DDR, DPS, DUAL LAN. NOT BAD REALLY LIMITEd EDITION.

It is definitely better than your previous system but if you look at the systems these guys have, then its nothing special.

In a week or two my system will be:

AMD Athlon XP 3200 + *400 FSB* Barton (2.20GHz) with a ThermalTake Xaser 11+ Heatsink and Fan.
1 Gb (2 x 512 Mb) Corsair TwinX, DDR, PC3200, Low Latency (2-3-2-5) - Dual Channel
128Mb Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro (256-bit)
2x 74Gb Western Digital Raptor Enterprise (10Krpm, 8MB Cache) -0 RAID using Highpoint Rocket Raid 1640 - 4Ch SATA Raid with Raid 5
Asus A7N8X-E-Deluxe - nForce2 - Inc 11b WiFi Adaptor x8 AGP + Gbit Lan + 6Ch Sound + 1394 + SATA-RAID + USB2 + 400 FSB - ASUS Socket A Flagship

I also have full surround sound that gives out 80+DbA using Optical cable for best quality sound.
