speed fan temps

25k rpm fan speed? 96C?....whoa....probably a glitch. Try reinstalling it.

ok. this is what you do. the temp with the 90C+ temp does not have a sensor on it. to fix this you do the following: Open speedfan and click the configure button, then on the temperature tab(whigh should be the default tab that opens) look for temp 1, and un-check it. Also, if you know what chip the readings are coming from (eg, hard drive, cpu, nb, sb, etc... you can double click on the name and it will make it so you can rename it.)

Now to fix the fan speed, i need some info on the fan. eg: what is its rated rpm at 100%? then i can help you fix that.

the fan is a stock one which came with my athlon 64 3800+

and another thing you know you said about knowing which chips the readings come from how can you find out??

well, the easiest way to find out is to unplug one fan at a time and look for temperature changes. for harddrives, when you are selecting which ones to display or not it will indicate on there on the second column.

i dont understand becuase i have five led fans which use molex connections and one on my cpu, surely the molex fans arn't monitored

yea they are not, just whatever they are cooling, just motherboard crap and the harddrives.
