I would overclock but I dont know how and i've seen what happens when it goes bad.

yeah, but thats from overvolting, not from overclocking. lol actually i guess to reach certain overclocks (overclocking itself does produce a small amount of heat) you have to give high voltage. but in general, no overclocking will not blow up your cpu. just dont like up the voltage to 1.7 or anything and it wont hurt it at all.
