Transfering files?

Okay i need to transfer a 2gb file, that can probably be split apart its a software file, i need to get it from NYC to here in california. Whats the best way besides burning to a disc because he cant do that. I was thinking he uploads to my ftp server---- Oh wait i dont have one... Any help would be cool

Just use FTP...there is loads of free or trial ftp software.

AceFTP
Coffecup Free FTP
CoreFTP
SmartFTP

to name a few...plus of course FTP 'resumes' if the connection is stopped.

You could also use a suitable p2p client.

Okay i got smart ftp. Now what do i do with it? Do you have to have your own server for it to work orr what? DOes he have to download it as well as i do? So if he downloads it? where does he upload to?
