X1900 series is not DX10 compatible if thats what you mean
why isn't the x1900 series in the DX10 Line, it out performs the other 8 series geforce cards (well below 8800 anyways) so does that mean if i use it on say a DX10 game a comes out in a year or so would it not be supported, even though it outperforms the other games?
I'm pretty sure the 8600's have 64 streams while the 8500 is the one with the 32...
Look at the 7600gt and 7800gtx. The 7600gt has 12 pipelines and the 7800gtx has 24 pipe lines (1/2 the power). The 8600's have 32 stream processors and the 8800gtx has 128 stream processors (1/4 the power 0.0).
The 8800GTS does not give you 4 times the frames as a GTS does..maybe 2 1/2 or so.
