AMD Processor vs Intel Processor

yea but you must remember they have two different roots of speed

and yes Intel core 2 out performs AMD but only at the moment

if AMD release some new processors im sure they could kick intels butt and at a cheaper price

what you have to ask yourself is if its worth waiting

btw. all technology is rendered pretty much useless after a year anyway

q3 2007 hopefully. and yes, i suppose the new am3 will perform equal to c2d <gasp>
and its worth waiting for me, as i have an am2 platform and am not quite ready to ditch it for a c2d....

I generally like the AMD processors overtop of the Intel chips. For some reason, they hold more appeal to me. Also they're generally cheaper. Currently, when push comes to shove, the C2D's are just a tad better than the AMD cores. I still think I'd rather go with a x2 5200+ than an e6400... And to be honest, I don't know why...

No 3500+ is not better Pentium D

In multitasking and application, Pentium D outperforms 3500+ by far

In single threaded games, 3500+ might perform slightly better. But most of todays games today can take the advantage of dual-core.
