Laptop. freezes once in a while in games

Hi i have Acer 5100 (X1600) For like half year.
Like 1-2 months ago i've started to get freezes when playing.
everything works smooth for 15-20 minutes and they i get really really slow performance for like 1-2 minutes. If i play online and for example with Skype on the freezes occur frequently. If i alt tab during the slow performancy and open task manager CPU load is over 90% then gets back to normal 10-15.
I have no idea what went wrong everything worked fine before. I checked for spyware and there is nothing.

too many background processes maybe your doing a system scan in the background?? if you go to processes tab on your task manager you can see directly what is eating cpu power

Idle eats 97-99% thats it

What you are describing sounds as though your applications are utilizing most of the CPU power....

Could also, be that the laptop is overheating.

how can i check CPU temperature ?
