I am overclocking a X2 3600+ Brisbane
2GB of G skill Dual kit ram (NQ model)
and the Tforce550 mobo.

What is the first thing I probably should do? Should I install windows xpsp2 along with all the programs/patches/updates?

Or What?
I've read the guides provided in this forum, but I am still slightly confused about how to do this right. I believe I know a decent amount about computers, so just so you know, you aren't talking to a COMPLETE computer illiterate. I'm quite the gaming enthusiast.

I also have proper cooling. I have an aftermarket heatsink for my cpu, 2 very efficient fans, thermal grease, and an aftermarket heating+fan for my VGA.

Anyways.

You thoughts?

hmmm..
if you havent installed your OS, you probably should do that before you try to overclock.
i look forward to your overclocking that setup...
i am getting my 3600 on friday, and hope to have it up to full steam by sunday, so you better get crackin'!
it will be interesting to see if you have similar results with your 550 board (i have an nF4).
