Think ill wait for the Intel price cuts(although ive noticed prices for the E6600 have come down a touch already?) and then go for the E6600.

I hope i wont regret leaping from AMD to Intel...........

I just thought what would happen about my windows xp install as i bought my pc years back with xp preinstalled which means i dont have a cd? ive got a feeling im going to need a disc because a new mobo= new pc as far as Microsoft is concerned? (or so ive heard)

Yes, you need a new XP cd, when installing major components, especially the motherboard.

so i need to shell out for an xp disc aswell! dam maybe i can find an OEM version on Ebuyer or something

Yea, you don't need the retail version. The only difference between the OEM and retail, is the pretty box and manual.

yeah i know, and Ebuyer has the OEM cd for £55, not bad.

Anyway i think ive came to a conclusion which is what i posted here for, thanks for your help mate
