Okay the stock speeds for the 8800GTX OC is 600Mhz and 1800Mhz right?

I have looked in nVidia MonitorView and it says 600Mhz/900Mhz WTF???

Is it the card or is it just something to save power like last time when my CPU went from 1.6Ghz to 3.0Ghz.... hmmm, plz help me

no you don't

I can't exactly explain it but they call the higher one (effective clock speed) while the other one is real clockspeed. Kind of like how DDR2-800 is actually quad pumped from 200mhz.

It's fine your specs just use the real clock speed.

If it bothers you look and see if theres a option for displaying ddr speed and it will show 1800.

yeah what sora said is exactly right, there is something like effective clock speeds and actual clock speeds. i'm not really sure about the details. but there is a really good website than tells you a lot its called google.com
