Alright, i have a desktop computer that i built myself about 6 years ago (i know its a long time) it has been upgraded throughout the years, but am having some trouble. The thing likes to freeze when it runs in the upright position. So thinking it was the read-write heads of the hard drive i replaced the hard drive, but that didnt fix the problem. I added some new fans thinking it was an airflow issue, but that also didnt work. my next thoughts are that it is either a wireshort, or that the power supply went bad.

thoughts?

I would guess the power supply myself. I've bought a few cheap ones over the years and they tend to go out in a year or so. But as you can see by my name I am a 'tech newbie' :)

hey no worries about that, that was my thought, but i was checking to see if anyone had another idea, looks like so far the general consensus is the power supply.
