overclocking question

I have an AMD XP2800. i wanna up the fsb to 400mhz. i calculated that the multipier shoudl be 10.5 x 200, is this right if the processor right now runs at 2100ghz. i want to do this because a. my motherboard supports it and b. my memory is ddr 400 and right now the max i can run it at is 333mhz.

You are correct.

I'm thinking your original settings were 166*12.5 = 2075MHz.?

well i got it to work on the first try. got everythign running at 400mhz now, saweeeeeet!!!

Glad you got your CPU to overclock.

If you want to check your systems stability try running prime 95 for about 8 hours. Its a good measure of your system's stability.

Actually their website has a calculator and shows how long your should run the test on your computer to check for total system stability. Just a FYI, but that's if you want to run the program for over 10 days (you can pause and resume)
