Hey all,

I was waiting and about to squeeze the last bit of life out of my machine, I plan on buying a new system once I'm out of college so I was looking at the eVga seen here:

Newegg.com - eVGA 256-A8-N506-AX Geforce 7800GS 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Video Card - Retail

This was the top AGP card forever until I just looked online today to check on my dream comp and saw this:

Newegg.com - XFX PVT71KUDL3 GeForce 7950GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Video Card - Retail

Now this is the best.

My question is, is it worth the $90 price increase for a college student? I know the XFX card is better, I also saw the guide on cards on the sticky, I'm wondering is it worth the difference in price for someone that is upgrading from a FX5200?

Thanks in advance

hands down get the 7950GT, i didnt know they were out yet for AGP....thats an amazing card, it even has 4 more pipes than my pci-e 7900gs. I owned a 7800gs and the performance is meh, im sure you will get almost the same performance out of the 7950gt agp as you would a 7900GT pci-e. I would definately spend the extra 90$.

Ive got a Leadtek 7950GT (512mb pci-e version) and its great in every way, it plays all top games maxed out on my 17" LCD, good FPS and you cant hear it at all, top marks.
