LOL....very good at gaming.....you will be happy with it. Good choice going with AMD. Too many C2D systems out there these days.

yeah, I agree...it should be a pretty decent gaming rig. The only problem I see you running into is that the ram would hold you back if you ever decide to overclock. Then again...if you get ram for overclocking like I did it'll cost you more.

yea wat he said get the 800mhz ram it will be slightly better and slightly more expensive but worth it. If you find the price is too much then get 667mhz

also to futureproof ur computer u might wanna get a 8800 gts for the direct x 10 support. Though that is another $150. If your gonna stick with 7900GS then get ATI Radeon x1950 Pro or better. Those are much better than 7900GS

No way, stick with the 7900GS....it will play demanding games better than any equivalent ATI card. I will find some benchmarks between the two and post them later.

The 7900GS is nice and overclocks well ( I should know) but for the money the X1950XT is MUCH more powerful than the 7900GS.

AMD for the price aren't bad systems, granted they cant keep with 5ghz E6600's that i've seen on LN2 and 4 on air...but not a bad choice.

I would decrease the CPU to a lower line and get the X1950XT ( At least open box for $170) and get G.skill DDR2-800 ram.

He didnt say x1950xt, he said x1950 pro wich is this card- Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100176L Radeon X1950PRO 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail, which is infact not as fast as 7900gs. But i do agree with you on the comparison to a x1950xt. This is a x1950xt-

I know what he said I was saying if he has the money then the X1950XT is MUCH faster than any card around that price and destroys the GS.

As much as I hate to say it the X1950PRO is just as good as the 7900GS when both are OC'd.

The 7900GS overall probably gets a few more frames but as the resolution goes up the PRO gains the lead.

Still I would go with the 7900GS regardless or an X1950XT OPEN BOX for 169.99

I want to sell my GS for an XT so bad....my PSU would have a hard time handling that greedy SoB though lol.
