I was wondering if there was a website out there that I could price and build a computer with parts from multiple sources (much like pricewatch) but to be sure that the components will work with eachother?

Basically build a virtual computer before even buying the parts.

I am not aware of a site like that. I think the sellers just figure you have done your homework and know what you want.

I think your best bet is to pick out your parts, post some links with descriptions and ask the members of tech-fourms for compatibility.

There are some members here that are really good at it. A lot of times they find good deals and can save you some money on one component so you can spend more on other components. Basically the best "bang" for your buck.

Post your budget, and your purpose for the computer.

Yes thats how we operate here.

I'm Sora...i'm 17 and i'll find your best bang for your buck ;)

Just go ahead and throw me a budget what you will be using it for and i'll see what I can come up with

My Budget is $600-$700, I don't need a monitor....

I don't care what the case looks like...white is just fine.

I do alot of graphic design..vista compatible would be great (home premium with aero).

So a nice video card...

I'm also looking for atleast 2GB of ram, atleast 160GB SATA HDD, Dual Core...maybe an Intel Duo Core, I have a Pentium D at work and I just don't think it's up to par.

Future upgradability is slim, so if there's a board that's dirt cheap and is maxed out with all of the above and no room to grow, then that's fine.

P.S.

If you can get it under $600 I would be grateful.

Well I was looking around on the forums and this one match my criteria very well: http://www.techist.com/forums/f75/bout-order-my-new-build-got-everything-140393/

I altered a few things to bring down the price...here is my current list:

It's ok. Although get this power supply (Cooler Master power supplies aren't very good):
Newegg.com - XClio 450BL ATX 450W Power Supply 115/230 V UL, CUL, TUV, CB - Retail

And I would probably get this hard drive if you can really get by with only 80GB:
Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST380815AS 80GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM
It's a little bit better then Maxtor for the same price.

And, I would spend the $20 and get a nicer case. Plastic=bad. You still have quite a bit left on your budget so I would get one of these:
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UW Black Aluminum Bezel, SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Centurion 534 RC-534-KKN2-GP Black Aluminum & Mesh bezel / SECC Chassis ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail (if you're ok with the LEDs in the front)

And if you overclock, I would get some nicer RAM but I'll assume that you won't so that RAM will do ok I suppose.

Other then that, it'll do.

The PSU is the very heart of your PSU. It is highly recommended that you pay the extra few bucks and go with the 450BL which comes HIGHLY recommened on a budget.

Use the build you have just posted but go with the 450BL. You have about 35 bucks left over so add a 120gb HD instead if you feel 80 is too small. Then the other money put it where you want as maybe a more stable case or even.
